Built by Dancers, For Dancers

Expert coaching designed to transform your strength, stamina, and stage presence

About JigStrong

Jigstrong Coaching was born from the fire of competition and the frustration of untapped potential. Our founder, Tamya Stahler, a former North American Champion with over 15 years in Irish dance, saw too many talented dancers sidelined by weak foundations or outdated training. Drawing inspiration from elite athletic programs, we created Jigstrong to bridge the gap: specialized strength, conditioning, and mindset training that works for step dancers.

JigStrong offers a dancer-led approach with a focus on precision and mental preparation. We're not just coaches—we're your teammates, cheering every click and jump.

Our Misson

Our mission is to empower Irish dancers worldwide with the tools to dance stronger, smarter, and longer. We believe strength isn't just physical—it's the confidence to own the stage.

Tanya Stahler

Founder / HEAD COACH

Originally from California and now living in the mountains of Colorado, Tanya’s life has always been rooted in movement and activity. She began with ballet and jazz before discovering Irish dance in 5th grade, quickly rising from beginner to championship level in just three months.

As a top-5 Western Region Champion and multi-time Worlds qualifier, Tanya built a foundation of discipline and hard work that later carried her into endurance sports, where she has spent the past 20 years competing in road, gravel, and mountain biking as well as ultra-running—and coaching athletes in these demanding disciplines.

Tanya is UESCA, NASM, and USATF Level 1 certified, with years of study in biology, exercise physiology, women’s health, and nutrition. She is passionate about applying the latest science to create safe, effective, and sport-specific training. Her coaching philosophy centers on communication, trust, and tailoring every program to the individual, ensuring athletes not only improve but stay healthy and injury-free.

Tanya is dedicated to giving Irish dancers the kind of support she wishes had been available during her own competitive years. Contributing to an athlete’s success is her greatest passion.
